At The Works (1863)
Day 24 at the works, Mr Moore typing away like any other day; though I do think he's becoming quite sick of it. Mr Wilson's writing up the reports for the owner, but he's writing so incessantly fast that I'm afraid he'll injure himself. It's nothing compared to young Nathaniel upstairs though, working away at the machinery; poor boy, only 15.
(Set in 1863).
